Pekka Lehto (born 1948) is a Finnish director whose film career spans over 40 years. Blurring the boundaries of fact and fiction is typical for his works. His film Flame Top (1980) was entered into the Cannes Film Festival in 1981 and The Well (1992) was entered into the competition at the 49th Venice International Film Festival. Lehto received DocPoint’s Aho & Soldan lifetime achievement award in 2011.
This year DocPoint is screening Lehto’s film Emergency Call – A Murder Mystery. It traces the twists and turns of the Jukka S. Lahti murder investigation.
